Annual Reviews is pleased to announce that Knowable Magazine has won three awards in the 2024 Folio: Eddie and Ozzie Awards, demonstrating excellence across a range of categories. The magazine also received four honorable mentions.
Since its launch in 2017, Knowable Magazine has earned numerous awards for its work exploring the real-world significance of scholarly work through a journalistic lens.
The annual Folio: awards celebrate engaging online content, selecting from a wide field of publications. This year, the program received more than 1,000 entries in 80 categories.
Knowable Magazine was the top winner in these three categories:
- Range of Work by a Single Author (Consumer): Knowable Magazine articles by Katarina Zimmer
- Science Single Article (Consumer): Everyone should start counting spiders by Betsy Mason
- Science Podcast: Knowable Magazine Podcast by Adam Levy and Charlotte Stoddart
The publication received four honorable mentions in these categories:
- Long-Form Feature Content (Consumer): The atomic bomb, exile and a test of brotherly bonds: Robert and Frank Oppenheimer by KC Cole
